Salamanca Golf Course, set in 170 acres of glorious country is just 15 minutes from the city. There is a driving range, golf school and a popular restaurant. Some equipment can be hired. This year Sierra Alma has negotiated special rates. Visits to the vineyards of Toro, Ribera del Duero, Rueda wine regions that surround Salamanca and several independent wineries in the mountains. Local producers of Jamón, Olive oil, Cheese, Honey etc. also welcome visitors.

Miles and miles of mountain and forest tracks to explore. Loads of quiet country roads. A maze of hiking and walking routes. All the wonders of the landscape and of course the wildlife in the heart of a hidden Spain rarely encountered by the casual tourist. Long, wide meandering rivers and smaller rushing flows with waterfalls, rapids and natural pools, ideal for a cooling swim. The countryside is dotted with tiny villages with welcoming tapas bars and restaurants for when you feel you need a short break.
