Motorcycle tours in Spain – single-centre tour example
This example shows arrival at Santander in Spain, however there are 6 sailings a week from 2 UK ports to 2 ports in Northern Spain and you can choose whichever ferry crossing you prefer or you could arrive by road from France.
Time actually spent in the saddle each full day is usually around 5 hours.
Travel to Spain
Ride to your departure port. Board the ferry and sail to Northern Spain.
Arrive destination port eg. Santander – you will be met by your guide Hugh (Sierra Alma owner). After meeting and greeting we cross the Cantabrian mountain range to Burgos.
Burgos to Salamanca
Via the country route visiting a vineyard en route. We plan to arrive in the city by the late afternoon. After settling in we offer you a tour of the city.
Sierra de Los Angeles
Visit a honey farm in the Sierra de la Peña de Francia, followed by a ride through the stunning scenery of the Sierra de Los Angeles to historic Ciudad Rodrigo.
Las Arribes and the border lands along the River Duero. You may well see eagles and vultures, especially on the river boat trip. Visit the only organic olive oil mill in Castilla y León.
Visit a micro vineyard and a jamón producer in the heart of the mountains. Ride to La Alberca the capital of the sierra and a small village famous for building their houses with 430 million year old fossils.
Sierra de Los Gredos
At Peña Negra, some 6000ft, you can see “all” of Castilla y León. Breathtaking views. Ride through the Pico pass to visit the caves of Ramacastañas. Return via the famous city of Ávila.
Cáperra and Honduras
Visit the Roman ruins of Cáperra and ride through the Jerte valley to Honduras pass to visit one of the most important motorcycle museums in Europe.

Salamanca to León
Via Zamora visit a grand vineyard in the heart of the Toro wine region. In the evening see the Barrio de Húmedo, famous for it’s multitude of tapas bars.
Picos de Europa
Ride through the Picos de Europa, named because they were the first mountains of Europe to be seen by sailors returning from the Americas in olden times. The views and scenery are just awe inspiring.
